Memorial Weekend in DC

From Chicago we headed southeast to meet up with Jenny in Washington DC. Any trip to DC wouldn’t be complete without seeing the White House,

or the Washington Monument.

Here I am outside the Lincoln Memorial,

and this is the Korean War Memorial.

There were thousands of bikers, I tried to spot my parents but failed.

This is the Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial,

and here is the Jefferson Memorial.

The Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial,

and the Jefferson Memorial.

A rugby field?

The Holocaust Museum was thought provoking and made me wonder about my complacency with the current wars.

The next morning we went and saw the Air and Space Museum,

as well as the Museum of the American Indian, which again was thought provoking.

Here is the U.S. Capitol,

and we made it back in time for the Memorial Parade - which had many many high school marching bands that were very entertaining.

From there I left alone for Winnipeg.
