Bass Lake and Yosemite Valley

There are some things I have forgotten to mention. Canada, with the sole exception of Montreal, allows vehicles to turn right on a red light, which seems to be the case in the States as well. Then Vegas has xeriscaping along the highways because of the water shortage, and builds using cement in the walls.

We had two nights at Bass Lake, and on the way we stopped by "In and Out" - a burger chain where stores are located in places that allow the burgers to be fresh, they don't freeze anything.

The next day we visited Yosemite Valley.

The valley was absolutely beautiful! The cliffs, trees and waterfalls made it a stunning place to visit.

Sarah, Jacqui and I hiked to Vernal Fall.

This was the view from the top of the fall. If you follow the water from the fall to the top of the photo, where the trees block the view of the water, that was about the half-way point of the hike.

It was also a very steep climb the whole way.

Back at Bass Lake we went for a swim before dinner.
