Goodbye Montreal, Hello Halifax

It was a sad farewell to the beautiful city of Montreal. This is the '20-something' group from People's Church of Montreal. Rachel is on my left, she goes to Nottingham University, and Luca is on the right, she goes to Sydney University. Other people are too difficult to point out.

My farewell protest from the strikers.

For our final house meal we went out for poutine, the traditional provincial dish (fries, gravy and cheese curds).

The theme for our end of semester house party was to dress up as someone else at the party. I dressed as Sarah, and Rachel and Luca swapped clothes.

Then on the 30th I caught the train to Halifax. It was a long trip, 24hours, but very enjoyable. On the 2nd, Rachel, Freya and Maddie arrived. It's a cute city. Lower down you can see the canon that goes off at noon each day at the Citadel. The recent 100 year anniversary of the Titanic was particularly significant here. The owner of the shipping line the Titanic belonged to was from Halifax, and the ship sank not far from here (relative). Many of the victims recovered were buried in Halifax's cemetary's.
