This covers most of day one.
I didn’t know anyone else who was going to New York City, so wasn’t fussed where I sat on the bus. I ended up sitting next to one of the three other non-francophone’s, out of 56 people. I managed to sleep most of the way, and when I woke up I had the mini-cupcakes Hayley had given me for my birthday for breakfast.
When we arrived in New York we went to Times Square, which was incredible! For those of you who haven't been, I'm not sure what 'Square' is supposed to refer to, don't expect a square. I was quickly separated from the group so I had lunch sitting on the red stairs.
I was thrilled to spot the New Zealand flag outside the Rockafeller Building, and the view from the top was amazing.
Eating a hotdog in Central Park :).
I like this one because it shows the umbrellas of the little stands where you can have your portrait sketched. Central Park is so beautiful!
